Welcome to The Low Energy Entrepreneur Community

A chill space to explore running a biz while sustaining personal values & mental health & creativity

About Us

Welcome to The Creative's Space! We are so glad you're here.
This community and resource center is run by two low-energy creatives - Meg (she/they) & Kendall (she/her).
We are biz besties and bestie besties on a shared mission to uplift fellow low-energy humans and business owners with compassionate support and strategy.
Our hope is that by us carrying out our own mission, we are able to help others sustain their unique, vibrant, and divergent ideas for the long haul and change the world instead of burning out from the insidious impact of hustle culture and perfectionism.

We’re made to believe that there’s a “right” and “wrong” way to do business… but what if the “right” ways aren’t actually right for you?

Things like batching content, traditional launch models, scaling your business in a short period of time, and going all-in on every social media platform may have worked for lots of business-owners, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re a good fit for everybody—especially for folks who identify as neurodivergent or spoonie, have a chronic illness, have a mental illness, have lower capacities, or like to work slower.

So, what do we mean when we say "low-energy human"?

The current working definition of “low-energy” human includes:⁣
✨someone experiencing challenges with their mental health⁣
✨someone with a chronic illness or disability ⁣
✨someone who is neurodivergent⁣
✨someone either temporarily or long term dealing with sickness
⁣✨a parent, caretaker, or guardian⁣
✨someone working a job, multiple jobs and/or running their own business
✨someone who is grieving ⁣
✨someone who is simply done with burnout, hustling, grinding, and capitalism ⁣⁣and identifies with the term

And of course, you could contain multiple of these as part of your lived experience.⁣⁣

The term “low-energy” is meant to help us be more aware of our true capacities—energetic, physical, emotional, mental, and more⁣⁣—so that we can treat our bodies and minds as gently as possible (while unfortunately still living in a society that is completely insensitive to the limited capacities people have).⁣⁣

If this resonates with you, please know that you are not alone, and if you’re looking for some community and support, we have options for you 💚
  • This Mighty Network is a hub for entrepreneurs to access daily tips, weekly resources, and monthly events.
  • We also have a Discord Server for low-energy humans (not business-focused) to support ongoing mental wellbeing, care task management, and finding joy in daily life. That server can be accessed by clicking here.

What goes on inside The Creative's Space?

  • Concise notes posted every weekday covering compassionate marketing and community building, disengaging from perfectionism, and low-energy-friendly business, creativity and social media strategy. These are tagged by topic, so you can always look back on previous notes. Think of it like an active email list where we archive the content for you!
  • A free resource (including podcast episodes, workshops, guides, workbooks, etc) posted weekly connected to one of the key topics of the community. The resources will be tagged with the overarching topic they relate to as well as shared in a consolidated resources thread where you can check out all the previous resources in one place!
  • Monthly community breathwork sessions led by Meg, a certified breathwork facilitator
  • First access to new cohorts of Creative Differences, our small group mentorship program that runs twice a year
  • Getting to meet fellow low-energy creative entrepreneurs from around the world

Our Values and Group Rules

We have both completed a trauma-informed curriculum for space-holders.
We both continue to educate ourselves in anti-racist, neurodivergent-driven, anti-capitalist, and culturally-inclusive practices as humans and as business owners.
We will do our best to ensure and protect the safety of all individuals in this group.
Please read our group rules before posting.
We adhere to these rules to create a space that prioritizes the health and wellbeing of our members.
  • Posts can be made by anyone at any time! Please just use the appropriate tags so people can find what they are looking for and to keep the space organized.
  • Be kind. To us kindness extends so much deeper than niceness. It is being honest even when it is uncomfortable. It is setting boundaries. It is engaging in thoughtful conversation. Kindness is of the most importance in this space.
  • Please post content warnings if you are going to share details of potentially triggering content. Also remember that this space is not a replacement for therapy or other mental/physical health services. We are not health-care providers or mental health professionals. We reserve the right to remove a post if we feel that it is beyond our professional scope and/or necessitates intervention. We will have resources, including hotlines, readily accessible to group members if you are in crisis and need professional support.
  • We cannot promise a safe space to everyone because we can’t know what is individually safe for all of you. We can promise to provide a brave space, a space where we commit to harm reduction, we own up to mistakes, and we work in community.
  • There is no hierarchy here. We are not the experts. We are just the space holders. Everyone is welcome.
Be sure to introduce yourself under the introductions thread, see if there are any members in your area, and check out what’s going on in the topics!
We can’t wait to get to know more about you!
